| Chambers continues its tradition of providing advocacy training for pupils and junior tenants alike. |
IN-HOUSE ADVOCACY TRAINING The Course benefits from the input of senior members of Chambers and provides participants with a wide range of advocacy exercises from bail applications to Jury trial. It's underlying intention is to provide pupils with all the necessary tools that they will require when cutting their teeth in the first few days on their feet, and to increase their confidence by exploring advocacy not always observed when pupils are in their first six months pupillage. The course has also benefited those more advanced in call, by providing an 'advocacy MOT'. It is hoped to build on this in-house success and eventually provide a course to members outside Chambers, as soon as this is available information will be posted. PUPILLAGE APPLICATIONS Applications to be received by 31st August. The Chambers of 4 Breams Buildings invite applications for 8 x 12 months pupillages. 4 will commence in October and 4 in April. These will be funded in line with the Bar Council Regulations. A curriculum vitae with covering letter should be sent to Miss Claire Drury, at the postal address below by 31st August. Please mark the envelope "12 month pupillage". Those who are successful in the preliminary sift will be interviewed in September, second round interviews will take place later that month. Those who are not sucessful in the preliminary sift will not be contacted. Mini - Pupillages are available - please contact Farida Sakr. 4 Breams Buildings, Chancery Lane, London, EC4A 1HP |
